Chi Omega Fraternity

Chi Omega is the largest women’s organization in the world (recently beating out the Girl Scouts). Since it’s founding in 1895, Chi Omega has chartered 174 chapters across the country and has over 300,000 current members. The six values of Chi Omega are:
- Personal integrity

- Academic excellence and intellectual pursuits
- Inter-generational participation
- Community service
- Leadership service
- Social enrichment
During my time as a Chi Omega in the Beta Beta chapter, I have experienced first hand how these values are put into action. Between our philanthropic events (Chi O Kickoff), our heavy emphasis on academic success, and the opportunity to form relationships with outstanding women, Chi Omega has helped formed me into the woman I am today.
I have also grown as a leader because of my experiences in Chi Omega. In 2007, I served as the Social Chair on our executive board in which I was responsible for coordinating events with other chapters and with the Panhellenic Council. In 2008, I become the chapter Secretary and Programming Chair. I learned a lot about delegation and how to work well on a team. My hope is that these experiences will help guide me in future career aspirations.
