ITAA
ITAA stands for the International Textile and Apparel Association. It is an industry based organization that works through the Apparel Merchandising Department and gets students involved on campus. We meet bimonthly and discuss things that are occurring in our industry that will influence us in our future career paths. ITAA is also partially responsible for putting on the annual Mom’s Weekend Fashion Show that features clothing lines produced by the senior design students in our department.
The group is student run and helps connect us with alumni who are succeeding in our industry. We also participate in community service projects, such as food drives and making scrub caps for children at our local hospital. ITAA has helped me to become more involved within my major and meet others that will help me in entering into the workforce.
